Operates radiologic equipment to perform clinical diagnostic radiographs and routine procedures according to established standards. Provides complex technical care and imaging services to patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
Requires graduation from an AMA-approved or JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program and 2-3 years of experience. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold BLS certification.
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic radiographs and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services using imaging modalities. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Demonstrates ability to perform advance diagnostic imaging (Fluoroscopy and Lumbar punctures). Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:2-3 years? experience MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R).
