Performs surgical scrub duties and provides patient care for various age groups in partnership with licensed staff. Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills while assisting registered nurses.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and graduation from a surgical technology program. Candidates must have 3 years of surgical tech experience and hold BLS certification.
Overview Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Education Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required Work Experience 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist Required Licenses and Certifications ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) Upon Hire Required and BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required Business
