The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the lifecycle by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. They are responsible for maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities among assigned staff.
Candidates must be a graduate of a nursing program with at least one year of nursing experience. A current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or an NLC/eNLC multistate license and BLS certification are required.
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:None MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT). ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BLS Certified. Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations.
