The pathologist will interpret surgical and cytopathology cases and participate in frozen sections and laboratory medical directorship duties. They are also responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering strong relationships with clinicians and hospital leadership.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible. Strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology and cytopathology are required, along with eligibility for a North Carolina medical license.
About the Practice PathGroup has provided pathology services to this established hospital since 2019 and is the exclusive pathology provider for its expanding network of hospitals and clinics. Pathologists enjoy access to well-trained support staff, including pathologist assistants who assist with grossing and frozen sections. The practice is also affiliated with a new school of medicine, where clinical rotations will include medical students.
