The phlebotomist is responsible for performing specimen collection, handling, and processing while maintaining accurate laboratory records and quality control. They must also perform data entry into the hospital system and ensure a safe, clean, and professional laboratory environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience covering all patient demographics. Certification in phlebotomy and DOT collections is preferred, and BLS certification is strongly recommended.
