Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, bring strong Med-surg experience, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

This is a contract assignment beginning early November, with the opportunity to apply for a contract .

• Schedule & Hours
• 12-hour Day shifts (full-time)

• Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, assessment, treatment, and evaluation
• Utilize Med-surg background to manage diverse patient populations with varying levels of acuity
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses in accordance with established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac arrest, and critical illness
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Function independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure

• What We Require
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience (ER experience preferred but not required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays
