About the role

The Telemetry Technician monitors cardiac rhythms of ICU patients and interprets basic dysrhythmias. They also perform clerical duties and assist licensed nursing staff with patient care tasks.

Position Summary

  • The ICU Telemetry Technician monitors cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetric equipment. Interprets basic cardiac rhythms, common dysrhythmias and monitor mechanical malfunctions. Perform specific clerical and reception functions under the direction of the Charge Nurse/Nurse Director. He/she requisitions supplies, equipment and services as directed. Under direct supervision, he/she will assist the licensed nursing staff, by answering call lights and reporting findings to licensed nursing staff.
  • Basic Arrhythmia certification
  • Medical Terminology class or one (1) year experience in medical related field

Position Pay Range

$18.63 - $25.18/ Hourly In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state. ECRMC strives to ensure that our employees receive equal pay for equal work in line with our commitment to being an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Basic Arrhythmia certification. Additionally, a Medical Terminology class or one year of experience in a medical-related field is required.
