The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing various diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring the safe operation of equipment. They must maintain equipment and supplies while adhering to radiation safety protocols and government regulations.
The Radiologic Technologist (R) works under the supervision of the Director, Associate Director, Manager, Lead Technologist and/or Clinic Manager. The technologist is responsible for performing a variety of procedures requiring independent judgement and knowledgeable performance. The technologist will operate equipment safely producing quality images for diagnostic purposes and maintain equipment and supplies. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and fellow staff.
Candidates must possess the ability to perform fine motor tasks, operate imaging equipment, and maintain knowledge of CPR and body mechanics. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
