Patient care technician-Nights

Position Summary

• The Patient Care Technician is competent to perform both as a Unit Secretary or Certified Nursing Assistant. The Patient Care Technician is flexible and may be assigned as a unit secretary, certified nursing assistant, or in a dual position where both skills are utilized simultaneously. The Patient Care Technician performs these duties under the direction of the Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager. The Patient Care Technician will assist the licensed nursing staff in performing basic patient care and related work as required under supervision of team leader/RN/Charge Nurse. The Patient Care Technician will perform specific clerical and reception functions under the direction of the Charge Nurse / Clinical Manager. S/he requisitions supplies, equipment and services as directed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or equivalent patient care experience preferred
• Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred

Position Pay Range

$18.63- $25.18 / hour In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
