The Pharmacy Intern assists pharmacists in the storage, preparation, and dispensing of medications to patients and departments. They are responsible for identifying, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications, including sterile products.
Candidates must be registered with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or school of Pharmacy.
The Pharmacy Intern is registered with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of receiving experiential pharmacy practice training. Assists the pharmacist in the storage, preparation and dispensing of medications to patients, patient care areas and departments. Identifies, prepares, packages, labels and delivers medications, including sterile products, and provides other pharmaceutical care commensurate with years of professional education under the supervision of a pharmacist.
