The Radiology Technologist performs radiographic procedures using independent judgment and prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis. They are responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring patient safety through radiation protection, and providing life support when necessary.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology school and hold an Associate of Applied Sciences degree. Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and CPR certification are required.
