The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs phlebotomy, analyzes patient samples, and identifies microorganisms to assist in disease diagnosis and treatment. They are responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety and HIPAA regulations.
Candidates must hold a current Tennessee license as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and possess strong clinical laboratory skills. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain BLS certification.
Technical Laboratory staff analyzes patient testing that helps physicians to diagnose and treat diseases. Medical Laboratory Technologists collect and analyze body fluids, tissue and other substances to determine normal or abnormal findings. This position is an Essential position at the facility to ensure efficient operations and patient care. Employees hired into an Essential position are expected to report to work for their scheduled shifts regardless of the environmental weather and road conditions that may exist.
