The clinician provides mental health support services to members and their families while coordinating care with internal teams and external agencies. They work within a crisis residential treatment program to help clients regain stability and avoid inpatient hospitalization.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Sciences and be registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC. At least one year of direct service experience with individuals experiencing mental illness is required.

The Clinician Unlicensed provides mental health support services to members served and their families at the program. The Clinician also assists in the coordination of all mental health support services provided by the Team. This includes coordinating and collaborating with team members and outside agencies such as, the Conservator’s Office, Public Guardian’s Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers.

Expected starting wage range is $43.04 - $53.15. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Serenity House is a 13 bed, short-term intensive Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) program serving adult residents of San Mateo County who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The program will operate 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Clients may be referred from the hospital, jail, community, or self-referred. The goal of the program is to help clients experiencing acute psychiatric distress avoid inpatient hospitalization and emergency services; regain their stability; and begin working toward longer-term recovery goals.
