Job Details Jefferson Health is hiring Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained Nocturnists to join our expanding Hospital Medicine teams across the enterprise, including: Center City Philadelphia Northeast Philadelphia (Torresdale) Abington, Montgomery County Lansdale, Montgomery County Southern New Jersey locations
Overnight Admissions & Inpatient Care: Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage care for previously admitted patients. Cross-Coverage Support: Provide backup to APPs, assist with ICU needs including rapid responses and Code Blue events (if available) Open and closed ICU models depending on site (Not all sites require procedures) Clinical Supervision (Optional Academic Track): Supervise residents and support triage and admissions for teaching teams—three nocturnists typically cover each night. Academic opportunities available at select locations Team Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) and ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain thorough charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and plans of care, ensuring compliance and accurate comorbidity coding.
