The Psychiatrist I will be responsible for providing care and treatment to persons in state custody, which includes preparing initial intake assessments and managing psychotropic medication in accordance with medical standards. Responsibilities also involve re-evaluations, providing psychoeducation, writing medical orders for staff, participating in on-call coverage, and supervising assigned professional and paraprofessional staff.
Applicants must be licensed to practice medicine in Oklahoma and be Board eligible or certified in psychiatry. Candidates must also pass an OSBI background check and possess a valid driver's license to fulfill job-related travel requirements.
