The pre-transplant coordinator manages patients on the transplantation list and schedules necessary testing and procedures. They also handle communications with patients and medical offices to ensure proper patient care.
Candidates must hold a current NYS Registered Nurse license. Experience in transplant services or a related field is preferred.
$70,068.00 - $108,605.00 The pre-transplant coordinator works with the transplant team to manage patients that are active and active on hold- on the transplantation list. This individual attends transplant committees, QIT's, partakes in Transplant clinic. The pre-coordinator schedules testing, labs, procedures that are necessary for the care of potential transplant recipient. The coordinator fields phone calls from patients, MD offices, etc to manage the patients care. The coordinator will also be maintaining and enforcing the regulations set forth by the regulatory bodies of UNOS, OPTN, CMS, Joint Commission of Accreditation, NYS DOH and the like.
