The RN provides comprehensive perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room, monitoring patient recovery, and educating families on discharge instructions.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an active Pennsylvania RN license. Experience of 1-3 years in operating, PACU, or critical care environments is preferred, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
The RN provides comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing same-day surgical procedures, covering preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Key responsibilities include patient assessment, preparing patients for surgery, assisting in the operating room (circulating/scrubbing), monitoring recovery, and educating families on discharge instructions.
