The Peer Support Specialist provides mentorship, advocacy, and support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. They assist patients with goal planning, care navigation, and the development of life skills to promote long-term recovery and self-sufficiency.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a Peer Support Certification (or eligibility within three months), and at least one year of personal recovery. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally are required.
Certified Peer Support Specialist: Full-time (M-F, 30 hours per week)

As the Peer Support Specialist, you are responsible for supporting others in recovery from substance use disorder; serving as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery; and representing Pinnacle Treatment Services/Aegis in a positive and professional manner. You will demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and develop appropriate and authentic peer-to-peer relationships. In this role, you must understand and have respect for everyone's unique path to recovery.
Pay: $25/per hour
