Description A medical assistant is responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care. The duties of a medical assistant include: Recording patient medical history and vital signs Preparing patients for medical examinations Assisting healthcare professionals during medical procedures Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Performing basic laboratory tests Administering medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals Preparing and maintaining medical equipment Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining patient records Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols
