The Hemodialysis Technician assists in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within their scope of practice. They are also responsible for the maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment and managing supply inventory.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and a current BLS certificate. One year of hemodialysis experience is preferred, though training may be considered for the Hemodialysis Technician Certification.
The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider responsible for assisting in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice. Responsibilities include maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment, ordering and stocking supplies necessary for in- patient dialysis treatment. Monitoring and cleaning supply area as well as other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.00 to $30.41. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
