More about our team The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Surgical Services department. The RN ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with departmental standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the assigned unit and the organization. They remain flexible to changing systems - are expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practices, and treat staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. 6 Operating Rooms 2 GI Suites 8 Hour Shifts Monday through Friday from 0700—1530 On- Call rotation including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, may be required based on departmental needs 1 Weekend/Month Required How you’ll contribute The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgery is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process.
  • Key responsibilities include: Preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available Performing circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures Maintaining sterile technique and monitoring the surgical environment for safety and compliance Anticipating the needs of the surgical team to support efficient case flow Communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers and team members Documenting care accurately and in a timely manner Participating in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, safety and team performance What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Additional requirements include: Current RN license in state of practice ACLS, BCLS, PALS required At least one year of Perioperative RN experience Why join us Fundamental to providing great care is supporting and rewarding our team.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a current state RN license and possess at least an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additionally, candidates are required to have at least one year of perioperative experience and hold active ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications.
