The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for producing cross-sectional images of internal organs and tissues by operating CT equipment and administering contrast materials. They also interpret scanning protocols, position patients, and transmit images to radiologists for interpretation.
Candidates must have completed an accredited radiology program and be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). An Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology and state licensure in Diagnostic Technology are required.
Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
