Position Summary

  • the RN is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include: Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Qualifications

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable): RN - Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years college or Associate’s Degree.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current state registered nurse license Current BLS/CPR certification required Minimum of one to three (1-3) years working as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of related experience (preferred).
  • General office procedures Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system, EKG machine,.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current state registered nurse license, BLS/CPR certification, and have at least one to three years of nursing experience. An Associate's degree is the minimum educational requirement, with a BSN preferred.
