The Radiologic Technologist assists radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities include performing radiography, documenting exams in RIS/PACS, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms.

SUMMARY

As a Radiologic Tech I, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas.
  • Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.
  • Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary.
  • Cleans, restocks, and prepares rooms on a daily basis.
  • Attends hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
  • Practices and is held accountable for excellent customer service behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • 2 years college certificate or equivalent.
  • NYS license in Radiologic Technology required, or must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
  • If licensed after 2007, must obtain the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BLS Certification preferred.
  • Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.

  • Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning.
