The Monitor Technician performs continuous surveillance of patient cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics to ensure patient safety. They are responsible for notifying nursing staff of critical changes and documenting findings in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and either formal training in an Allied Health field or one year of patient care experience. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and knowledge of medical terminology and cardiac monitoring is essential.
