The physical therapist assistant provides physical therapy services under the direction of the physical therapist and according to the physician's plan of care. Responsibilities include treating patients to relieve pain, restoring function, and maintaining maximum performance through various therapeutic techniques.
Candidates must be licensed as a physical therapist assistant and have graduated from a CAPTE-approved program. They must also possess current CPR certification and have access to transportation for agency-related travel.
