The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing treatment plans to restore or improve their function and quality of life. They also maintain documentation and coordinate care with other health professionals.
Candidates should have 3 to 6 months of previous experience, with a preference for those who have worked with the frail elderly population. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
Degree in Occupational Therapy, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate. Required Licensure / Certification Skills: Current NYS Occupational Therapist License or limited permit as a Registered Occupational Therapist. M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
