The Certified Recovery Specialist assists patients in articulating and achieving personal recovery goals while providing peer support in various clinical settings. They also teach problem-solving and social skills while role modeling positive recovery behaviors.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid state-approved certification. Applicants are required to self-identify as a current or former patient maintaining a healthy recovery from substance abuse.
