Physician - Neonatologist
Location: Macon, Georgia
This organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. They were founded in 2016 by a small group of neonatologists serving one NICU. Since then, they have grown to more than 100 providers serving hospitals in multiple states, providing 24/7 care. Their team of board certified neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and pediatric specialists stand by a core ethic that medicine should be the delivery of consistent, continuous care for mothers, babies, and families. With decades of combined experience and more than 100 service contracts, they are a trusted strategic partner for many healthcare systems. The practice combines a national infrastructure with local support, using their breadth of clinical and operational resources to allow physicians to spend more time on delivering high-quality care.
This physician will be employed by a private physician practice and based in a medical center in Macon. The practice currently has one physician working in the center and is seeking a second provider due to growth. The group also employs neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs) staffed with physicians at the medical center.
The medical center has been the recipient of several awards, recognizing the facility and its team members for excellent patient care. The neonatologists work collaboratively with each other, combining their efforts to deliver exceptional care in the NICU and newborn service.
Physicians see an average of 5 to 10 patients per day.
The medical center uses an EHR and clinical assistants are always available to assist providers.
The schedule is collaboratively decided between the physicians, sharing duties evenly. Most providers choose a 7 on / 7 off model with every-other week call, but it’s at the discretion of the provider team to coordinate the schedule.
