The Case Manager provides frontline, goal-driven support to individuals and families in an emergency shelter to facilitate stabilization. Responsibilities include conducting intakes, developing individualized case plans, and assisting clients with applications for housing and benefits.
Candidates must be genuine believers in Jesus Christ and active members of a Protestant evangelical church. They must adhere to the City Union Mission faith statement and be committed to serving the poor and homeless.

Job Summary: Our emergency shelter mission is to serve by providing immediate, short-term, and dignified refuge for individuals and families in crisis - protecting life, meeting basic needs, sharing the Gospel at each point of care, and creating a clear bridge to appropriate next steps. The Case Manager provides frontline, goal-driven case management within the emergency shelter, ensuring each client is supported in stabilization and movement toward appropriate next steps. Duties/Responsibilities: Intentionally and strategically seek to exemplify Jesus Christ and be equipped and prepared to share the Gospel and provide spiritual support at each point of care; showing the love of Christ and biblical hospitality through each interaction Conduct intake, assessment, and triage, identifying immediate needs, risks, and appropriate next steps Develop and maintain individualized, goal-based case plans focused on stabilization and progression toward independence; updating the database to reflect the case plan. Advise clients in completing applications, documentation, and referrals, including housing, identification, benefits, employment, and supportive services Respond to crisis situations, behavioral concerns, and safety needs, coordinating with Center Managers and leadership as appropriate
