Operates imaging equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Experience as obtained through the completion of an Ultrasound program.
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Completion of a formal education program in sonography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARDMS or ARRT or CCI. Associates degree in related field
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Imaging principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS),or American Registry of Radiology Technologists ARRT (S), or ARRT (VS), or ARRT (BS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International CCI RVS; BLS Certification within 14 days of hire; New graduate will obtain required registry within 120 days as required; State license as required
