$19 - $23 / HOUR
The Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, direct patient care including hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance. They also maintain unit cleanliness, manage equipment, and perform hourly rounds to ensure patient safety.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, or have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair Participate in hourly rounds Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years) BLS is required within 90 days of hire
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student) Additional Data Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans
