Responsibilities include: Provide professional emergency medical services and direct patient care in the ER Evaluate adult and adolescent patients presenting to the emergency department Make preliminary diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and arrange for referrals or specialized care Deliver care to patients with a broad range of medical conditions, often critical or complex Stabilize and transfer major trauma patients (penetrating wounds, TBI, hemorrhage, blunt trauma, etc.) Manage pediatric trauma, psychiatric emergencies, and critical medical conditions such as septic or cardiopulmonary shock

Requirements

Active, Unrestricted Medical License —Must hold a current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Montana, any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Board Certification/Eligibility — Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM), or in Family Medicine. Active DEA Registration — Required to prescribe controlled substances. Certifications — Must have current certifications in: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Citizenship — Must be a U.S. citizen living primarily within the United States. Experience — A minimum of 12 months of relevant clinical experience is required. Federal Security Clearance — Must be willing and able to complete and pass the federal security clearance process.
