The physical therapist will plan and administer medically prescribed treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability in patients. They are also responsible for evaluating patient progress, documenting treatment in medical records, and instructing patients and families on home care procedures.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited institution and possess an active or temporary Louisiana state license. Additionally, a Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited institution required. Active or temporary Physical Therapist license from the Louisiana State Board of Physical Therapy required. Temporary license holders must obtain active license within 90 days of hire. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required. Working knowledge of computer software to include, but not be limited to: word processing and spreadsheets.
Trigger point dry needling certification preferred, but not required. Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
