The Physical Therapist Assistant performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and assisting patients with functional and daily-living activities. They also utilize various techniques like electrical stimulation and ultrasound to help patients improve movement and manage pain.
The role requires the ability to instruct and assist patients in physical activities and implement established treatment plans. Candidates must be proficient in various physical therapy techniques and patient care protocols.
Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
Using various techniques to help patients, including hands-on therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and ice/heat.
Working with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain with a treatment plan.
