The Medical Assistant will prepare patients for exams, perform basic lab tests, and assist with procedures under provider orders. They are also responsible for maintaining exam rooms and documenting patient care in the EMR.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess or be able to obtain CCMA certification within 120 days. A valid CPR certification is required, and prior clinical experience is preferred.
The Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare system in Hamilton, Texas that is seeking a Medical Assistant. This role blends clinical support and light administrative duties while working closely with providers to deliver quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for exams, including vitals and medical history intake Assist with procedures and administer medications per provider orders Perform basic lab testing (blood/urine) and EKGs Support patient flow and act as liaison between patient and provider Maintain exam room readiness, supplies, and equipment Document all care accurately in EMR
High school diploma or equivalent CCMA certification (or ability to obtain within 120 days) CPR certification required Prior clinical experience preferred
