The ER Technician administers patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician to meet individual clinical needs. They perform various direct and indirect duties to ensure efficient patient flow within the Emergency Department.
Candidates must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and possess an EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant certification, or be enrolled in an RN program. Additional requirements include obtaining Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) and Basic Dysrhythmia certifications within specified timeframes.
