The Advanced Practice Provider will perform clinical consultations, follow-up visits, and office procedures while establishing diagnoses and treatment plans. They are responsible for ordering diagnostic tests, administering medications, and maintaining continuity of care for patients within the clinic.
Candidates must be licensed as a PA-C or NP in North Carolina with at least one year of post-graduate experience in a related setting. Proficiency in EMR systems, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work independently under indirect supervision are required.

Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner. Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary.
Reports to Department Physicians, area manager(s) and Chief Operating Officer.

(Example) Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
Typical Working Conditions: Normal office environment
Provides professional medical care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic/hospital environment.
1. Assist with consults and daily visits. Sees follow-up patients in clinic.
2. Performs office procedures.
3. Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Reviews patient records. Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
4. Establishes presumptive diagnosis.
5. Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
6. Performs independent evaluations and treatment.
7. Administers injections, immunizations, and oral medications.
8. Prepares written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances.
9. Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
10. Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
11. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
12. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
13. Utilizes practice/hospital guidelines and standardized procedures in collaboration with the supervising physician(s) in providing medical care to patients.
