About the role

Provide in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic inpatient services. Perform emergency gynecological surgical care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Our affiliate, Unified Women’s Healthcare of the Carolinas, is looking for an Obstetrics and Gynecology Laborist Physician to join their prestigious women's health care center in Columbia, SC.

About the Practice: The practice consists of 11 OB/GYN generalist physicians, 15 laborist physicians, and 7 advanced practice providers as well as a strong administrative support staff.

This group of providers has been serving the Columbia metro area for 20 years with a solid reputation for top notch clinical care.

Hospitalist shifts will be done at either the Medical University of South Carolina East Campus or Prisma Health Baptist Hospital.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join an excellent group of physicians in a growing area and a great hospital system.

Looking for a physician who wants to work a few hospital call shifts on a tailored schedule or work full time focusing their career on Labor & Delivery.

Position Highlights: Become a laborist with a supportive and large practice that provides comprehensive women’s health services to patients.

Join a group with 11 generalist OB/GYN physicians, 15 laborists working different schedules, and 7 advanced practice providers.

Provide in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic inpatient services.

Perform emergency gynecological surgical care as needed.

Collaborate closely with other OB/GYN providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals when delivering care.

Full-time and PRN shift opportunities available.

Flexible scheduling options.

Hospital shifts will be at the Medical University of South Carolina East Campus and the Prisma Health Baptist Hospital.

Hospitalist can expect to perform anywhere from 10-25 deliveries per month.

Competitive compensation and group malpractice coverage. $30K Sign on and $30K retention bonus for full-time hours.

CME stipend and administrative fees covered by the practice.
