Responsibilities

• Please note - this is temporay (30 day) position to cover a leave As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will: Collaborate with RNs regarding patients medications, physical status, psychological well being and Plan of Care.
• Implement and monitor patients detoxification protocols.
• Administer medications according to physician orders and safe medication administration practices.
• Provide patient education regarding medications and treatments.
• Communicate patients concerns, outcomes, needs and status to the nursing team.
• Demonstrate ability to use various forms of therapeutic communication when interacting with patients.
• Demonstrate the ability to work as a productive member of the nursing team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Twelve Step Program.

Qualifications

Required Vocational or technical training One year experience in acute care setting Must be 18 years of age or older Current CPR/AED certification Certification must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CA LVN license and current registration Minimum 2 years Freedom from Chemical Dependency
