Are you a skilled and compassionate registered nurse seeking an extraordinary career opportunity at a state-of-the-art healthcare facility? THE Orthopedic Surgery Center is currently seeking to hire a Pre/Post/ Pain Registered Nurse!

Pre-Op/PACU/Pain Registered at North Denver Endoscopy

The Pre-Operative Nurse (Pre-op RN) has the responsibility for organizing and directing activities in accordance with nursing standards, Joint Commission, Medicare and all other applicable federal, state and local guidelines.

The Pre-op RN can expect to care for all patients within the scope of practice for the facility (i.e. pediatric, adult, geriatric).

They will admit, evaluate, assess and teach the patient in order to fully prepare them for their procedure or surgery.

The RN may perform CLIA waived laboratory testing required prior to surgery as ordered.

Communicates patient assessment information to the attending physician.

The PACU RN plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients in the PACU department. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members and providers. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the manager, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and other projects.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state.
  • 1+ years of experience working as a registered nurse required. ASC or Operating Room preferred
  • Current American heart BLS certification.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted RN license and have at least one year of nursing experience, preferably in an ASC or Operating Room setting. A degree from an accredited school of nursing is required, with a BSN and BLS certification preferred.
