About the role

The provider will deliver medical services to a diverse patient population within the Digestive Health clinic under the direction of a collaborating physician. Responsibilities include performing assessments, documenting patient data, and coordinating care within the healthcare team.

About the Position

Provides medical services for a broad range of patients, which can include geriatric, adults, adolescents and infants depending on specialty. Scope of care is defined by the medical or surgical specialty which employs the APP. A collaborating physician (M.D. or D.O.) provides direction and regular review of the medical services provided by the APP as set forth in the Practice Description and approved by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners. Services will be reviewed and approved by the Medical Director through periodic chart review. Renders all services promptly and diligently in accordance with professional and ethical standards of the medical community and scope of practice in which the provider practices. Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, and questions with customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Required Qualifications: Graduate from a Physician Associate training program or completion of recognized Nurse Practitioner program. Current Oregon Board of Medical Examiners, unlimited Physician Associate License or Licensed to practice medicine as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Oregon/Oregon State Board of Nursing. Fulfills requirements of hospital medical staff credentialing process. Maintains active staff membership in good standing with the medical staff of the hospital with all privileges and responsibilities accorded such membership. Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner program and hold a current, unlimited license in the state of Oregon. Applicants are also required to maintain active hospital medical staff privileges and hold American Heart Association BLS certification.
