Our first hospital in Presque Isle and a second location in Houlton, Maine.
We have a fantastic support team at each site and well-equipped, well cared for hospitals that include ultrasound, full lab, and digital radiology.
We provide and maintain a well-stocked ambulatory unit for large animal services.

Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy, including in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and record keeping.
Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas.
Performs physical assessments and records observations, including triaging and problem solving to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Safe, low stress and compassionate handling and restraint.
Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients.
Venipuncture and IV catheter placement Pharmacy skills, including protocols for filling in-house.
Radiography and digital imaging Monitors vitals Sample collection and processing for in-house and reference labs Builds initial rapport and long-term relationships with both pets and clients, successfully communicates plans and estimates to owners.
Assists the Veterinarian in medical, surgical and dental procedures; prepares patients for surgery; administers anesthesia; monitors patients during surgery and recovery; administers fluids.
Communicates within the team, proactively advocating for their patient’s needs.
Operates practice management software (Cornerstone) and related software packages.

High school diploma or equivalent Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) is highly desirable; equivalent training and experience may substitute. Surgical, dental and laser skills are appreciated, but not required. Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain. Dedication to safety for all parties involved. Must have a positive attitude and be a team player. Strong work ethic and track record of being reliable. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
