The Outpatient Lab Specialist facilitates laboratory testing for patients by managing the registration process and verifying insurance information. They are also responsible for the accurate and professional collection of patient specimens.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of healthcare or phlebotomy experience. Proficiency in typing and computer skills is preferred for this role.
Position Title: Outpatient Lab Specialist (Phlebotomist)
Purpose & Scope: The major responsibility of this position is to facilitate patients who are sent to the Hospital for Outpatient Laboratory testing. This includes registration of patients and in depth understanding of the various insurances and proper specimen collection.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
