The Optometrist will provide clinical care, diagnose and treat ocular diseases and refractive disorders, and manage patient treatment plans. They will also maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record and collaborate with other departments.

DCHC is seeking an Optometrist to provide clinical care for our brand new Community Health Center in Algiers.
This brand new, state-of-the-art clinic will be fully equipped and will have two exam lanes, an OCT and a YAG/SLT.
Clinic days will have a heavy emphasis on ocular disease and the position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

Three years of Optometry experience in a community healthcare clinic setting.
Bi-lingual and Experience with Officemate software is a plus.
Candidates must hold a Louisiana OD license and have at least one year of experience working with diverse populations. Excellent communication skills and computer literacy are required, with experience in community healthcare settings preferred.
