Market context
In Iowa, geropsychiatric RN openings are typically driven by demand in behavioral health, long-term care, and hospital settings serving older adults with complex psychiatric needs. This role is competitive because employers look for an accredited nursing background, an active Iowa RN license, and timely BLS compliance, while benefits such as health and dental coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement can help offset the demands of the specialty. Before applying, confirm your Iowa license status and plan to complete BLS within the required timeframe; this platform’s AI-summarized requirements and benefits help you review the original posting faster.
