About the role

The CT Technologist will perform CT and CTA scans, manage workflow, and ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort. They are also responsible for equipment monitoring, supply management, and assisting with administrative tasks like preauthorizations and ACR reaccreditation.

Job Description

Our Tucker outpatient facility is seeking a full-time CT Technologist to join us on our mission to provide top-notch patient care while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The department features a GE Optima 660 128 slice with AW processing workstation. We are looking for a confident and compassionate professional who is reliable, flexible, self-motivated and has a positive attitude. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Performing CT and CTA scans according to protocols

· Calcium Scoring and Coronary Angiography experience desirable

· Managing CT schedule workflow

· Performing basic X-rays using in-house CR system

· Effectively producing high quality images for interpretations

· Producing reports according to MD's interpretation

· Working with the front office to maximize schedules

· Make reminder calls to patients to provide prep instructions

· Explain and prepare each patient for CT exams

· Be able to recognize emergent patient conditions and act on them accordingly

· Must have proficient venipuncture skills and be able to prepare and administer contrast materials

· Take all required safety measures to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff

· Monitor equipment performance and take appropriate actions to arrange service or repairs

· Interface with other departments when sharing mutual patients

· Order all supplies for CT department

· Assist with ACR reaccreditation

· Assist with preauthorizing scheduled exams

· Perform all other duties as assigned or required to ensure operation of the department within the scope of practice

Minimum Qualifications

· Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the ARRT.

· One year minimum experience preferred.

· Advanced certification in CT preferred.

· Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold ARRT registration. A minimum of one year of experience and current BLS certification are required, with advanced CT certification preferred.
