Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies under the direction of a qualified physician. Performs patient positioning, operates radiation equipment, and maintains departmental documentation and supply inventory.
Requires an Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences or a Trade School Certificate. Must hold an ARRT certification and have at least 1 year of experience.
Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation. Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry. Education Associates Degree Radiologic Sciences OR Trade School Certificate Certification/Licensure ARRT Experience 1 year .
