The Dental Assistant supports orthodontic care by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials while assisting the doctor during procedures. They are also responsible for taking x-rays and instructing patients on proper oral hygiene.
Candidates should have a certification from a dental college or 3-6 months of related experience. Required certifications include Colorado X-Ray certification and current BLS certification.
Responsibilities: Essential
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists the doctor in procedures Takes x-rays Instructs patients on oral hygiene Sterilizes instruments Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
Education and/or Experience: Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred Required Certificates or Licenses: Colorado X-Ray certification Current BLS certification
