To provide Direct Resident Care under supervision of the Charge Nurse. The Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA follows established policies and procedures while providing and coordinating resident care with other facility personnel. This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus!

CNA licensed by State of CA CPR & First-Aid Certification Must clear criminal background with DOJ and FBI Ability to work in a healthcare setting with the senior population Schedule: 6:30AM - 3:00PM OR 11:00PM - 7:00AM part time Job Tasks: Receives report and assignments. Grooming and bathing patients with low mobility Preparing each patient room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment and bathroom needs Helping patients eat and take medications Making sure they have regular meals and proper medication dosages Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the nursing and medical staff Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed Turning or adjusting patients in bed to prevent bedsores or other discomfort Reports immediately to Charge Nurse anything unusual about residents. Keeps bedside and over-bed tables clean and uncluttered. Keeps side rails clean. Walks ambulatory residents to dining room and takes them to bathroom every two hours and as requested Makes sure all residents are offered nourishment at indicated times. Charts on all residents, making sure to include a narrative note about the activity and progress of the resident that day. Other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse, Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing Services. Physical Requirements of Position Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds; Moving, lifting, assisting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds using proper mechanics and/or assistive lifting devices. Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry patients Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles over time without fatigue Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, twist, sit, and reach Fine motor skills Visual acuity
